Basic Trail Description and special attributes:
Park at Longwood Avenue. This walk starts from the Longwood Supermarket, leading down towards the Colt Sheds via Mulberry Gut. Walk straight ahead towards the sign post from the main road.
The track will lead you across a hill, where spectacular views can be seen of Flagstaff, The Barn and the coloured soil of our landscape. Continue on the track beneath the remains of the boundary wall and
follow the brown way markers, which leads down into the valley.
Cross the ravine towards the
opposite hill, which also takes you to onto Cox’s Battery where views can be seen of Turks Cap.
You can either return on the same route or continue towards the dirt track on the right that will lead you
uphill and ends at the sign post of Cox’s Battery near the Weather Station.
Return via the main road
that will lead you towards Bottom Woods via Ropery Field pass the Golf Course, Longwood Avenue
and back to Longwood Supermarket.
