Click to enlargeA brief description of the character and location of the trail appears in the pamphlet: “Footpaths: St Helena”, issued by the St Helena Tourism. Basic Trail Description and special attributes: Park at Barnes Road. Starting from Barnes Road (sign posted), continue straight ahead to the sign Continue onto the grassy path, leading towards a small bridge over a flowing stream. Cross the bridge and continue on the windy grassy path in an upward direction allowing views of Heart Shaped Waterfall on the right. When you arrive at the top of Peak Hill, there is a junction; the grassy path to the left takes you onto private land, and the grassy path on your right takes you to Francis Plain. Follow the same route back, or alternatively, you can follow directions on your Tourism island Map back to Jamestown via the main road. Subjective QUALITY GAUGE of the trail.
